Client
The client is a marketplace for flower and gift shops. The platform has been on the market for just a year but has already reached ₽102 million in turnover. It operates 34 owned stores and works with 90+ partners.
Objective
Build a mobile app that helps the marketplace become #1 in its niche. Unlike many marketplaces, the platform puts the buyer—not the store—front and center. The app had to be oriented around the gift recipient so users could easily find flowers or gifts for any occasion, place orders quickly, and track them with ease.

The off-the-shelf approach
The client wanted the app to embody mobile retail best practices while launching quickly to validate business hypotheses. Together with the marketplace, we weighed the pros and cons and chose an off-the-shelf app built on proven templates. There’s no bespoke functionality by default, but it comes with time-tested patterns used by retail leaders and can be customized to the client’s goals.

App features
The off-the-shelf approach
A clear structure with categories and subcategories, plus search and filters. Users can filter by occasion, flower longevity, and even bouquet dimensions (width and height).
Attractive product cards
High-quality, sharp photos you can swipe through, for example, to see a bouquet up close. Below the photos: price, delivery cost and ETA, plus reviews.
Simple user profile
Log in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code. Inside the profile are Personal Details, Orders, and Help. The Help section answers common questions—how to cancel an order, how to care for flowers, and more. In Orders, users can view status and history. When an order is “Being assembled” or “On the way,” a Message the store button appears on the page so buyers can contact the florist directly.
Multiple payment options
Pay online by card, by card in-store, or with cash in-store. With the user’s consent, the app securely saves card details so repeat purchases don’t require re-entering payment info.
