On September 9-10, more than 700 participants from 30 cities and 65 companies came to the CrossConf conference in Innopolis. More than 80 speakers from technology companies shared trends in the creation of IT products.
Leading developers from VK, Avito, Yandex, Sberbank, VTB, OMP and other companies are among the experts.
The central section of the conference were the Mobile and Flutter sections. We at Friflex specialize in cross-platform mobile app development and encourage Flutter development in Russia. The Friflex Flutter development team consists of more than 25 specialists.
We conceived this conference as a thematic one – the very first large conference on cross-platform frameworks, technologies and approaches. Yet at the same time, as an intersection point for specialists from different fields. Many of the participants are the so-called T-shaped specialists who interact with each other in different areas, says Olga Chernysheva, CMO, Friflex.
Roman Shaikhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ruslan Shagaleev, Mayor of Innopolis, Renat Khalimov, General Director of the Innopolis SEZ, Petr Chernyshev, CEO of the Friflex Group, spoke at the opening of the conference.
Diverse Agenda
The presentations at the conference were divided into eight thematic sections: Mobile Dev, Flutter, Frontend Backend, AI, SportsTech, HR, Design & Product, Career & Education.
The Flutter section was remembered for the discussion from the gold partner of the conference – the Yandex Go team – "Bright side of Flutter: why the framework turned out to be the best solution for us."
Yuri Petrov, Flutter Dev, Friflex, in his report "Fighting for the expected behavior together with Flutter" talked about how Friflex covers the code with tests and showed an example of how to implement the primary types of tests. Dmitry Moser, Flutter-developer, Friflex, in the report “The Divine Scaffold – the tool we don’t think about enough” spoke about the peculiarities of working with Scaffold.
Speakers of the AI section talked about AI solutions in transport, industry, sports, medicine, fintech and other areas. Ruslan Grimov, Head of ML-department, Friflex, in his report “Auto-learning: automating data collection and labeling”, while using the example of an intelligent platform idChess for recognizing and broadcasting chess games, shared how the auto-learning pipeline for CV models was set up.
Other sections served to analyze cases in the fields of design and product analytics, approaches to HR, tracks of professional growth in IT.
CrossConf Mobile App Networking
The technological highlight of the conference was the CrossConf cross-platform mobile app. The mobile application was developed by the Friflex team.
With the help of that mobile app, participants could create an individual schedule, evaluate reports, add the best performances to favorites and communicate. To start a conversation, one could just scan the QR code from the participant's badge, and a chat would immediately open in the app. New features will be added to the app in time for the next conference.
Afterparty and IT Quiz from Boris Belozerov
The afterparty was organized on the evening of the first day of the conference. The special guest of the evening was a connoisseur of the “What? Where? When?" show, Boris Belozerov, who conducted an IT-quiz. 17 teams fought for the title of the most resourceful one.
